Rosalyn and Manuel Acevedo

Pastors Manuel & Rosalyn were called to pioneer a church of faith and power that is Christ centered and Kingdom purposed ready to impact their community, city and bring heavenly influence to the the nations. A God inspired vision dedicated to serving the Body of Christ and reaching out to souls to come into true Abundant life through Christ Jesus!

In September of 1997, the call to start a congregation that strengthens families, empowers God’s people through the Word of God and helps them discover their their purpose was ingrained in their minds and hearts.  They were compelled by the Spirit of the Lord and they launched River of Life Ministries of Chicago, Illinois -a church that is relevant, practical, and dynamic!  The name and mission through the years have changed to a global outreach to River of Life Worship Intl.

Pastors Manuel & Rosalyn are Chicago natives who, after serving faithfully in ministry for over 35 years. They were released to come into greater responsibility when called to serve the Body of Christ as shepherds. They have served in ministry for over 15 years as Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, worship leader, dance director, and associate pastors. They have also ministered to the community through youth and family support social services.  They have served as conference speakers and completely dedicated to discipleship as to raise up the next generation of believers to the full stature of the Son.

They have been happily married since 1978 and are proud parent of a daughter of the heart, adopted in spirit, Thao Nguyen who is of Vietnamese descent. who is also committed to serving Christ and fervently serving the agenda of God.

They have a great passion to teach and train God’s people to enter into their full inheritance in Christ Jesus and equip them to be fruitful in God’s Kingdom purpose.  Their desire to pull out, encourage, and support the gifting and calling of the sons and daughters of God is a constant endeavor.

The pastors acknowledge and recognize that ministry did not call them to be lone rangers  but are great believers in team ministry to be effective in fulfilling regional assignments of the Kingdom of God.
